Ava Breau Co-Founded the company with Mark Myers. Ava has demonstrated exemplary performance in the areas of strategic planning, customer focus, maintaining high quality standards, teamwork, identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities. Ava’s accomplishments were demonstrated as Area Director of operations for a national company , where she oversaw and executed turning around a portfolio of eleven distressed skilled nursing facilities in Ohio. She increased occupancy from 72% to 93% over a three-month period; increased revenue; reduced expenses; reduced staff turnover costs; and repaired relationships with state regulators that had both an immediate and future impact on region performance.
Ava also recently worked alongside another large operator in managing a portfolio of six highly distressed SNF’s, of which some were on a short list to becoming “special focus facilities”, and within a short period of seven months, the buildings were removed from the list, improving clinical capabilities and compliance with state regulations, while improving operations in two of the worst performing buildings, by cutting out agency staffing within the first month, recovering bad debt and back payments from the state Medicaid system, increased census, reduced staff turnover by 80%, replaced management with top quality administrators and directors of nursing, formed strong relationships with hospitals and local state surveyors, as well as cleared all citations from the previous annual survey.
Additionally, Ava has a consulting company, Aspire senior living, partnering with one of Michigan’s largest operator/ owners. The services provided are mainly asset and operational oversight for skilled nursing facilities by highly skilled and seasoned consultants in the healthcare field. Ava oversees the consultants, helps create a strategic plan to improve operations of clients.
Originally from Israel, Ava has made New Jersey her home for the past 10 years. She is a Touro College graduate with a B.A. in Psychology.
